About

With over 70 million Americans over the age of sixty, the voices and actions of older generations have never been more vital. Age brings wisdom, resilience, and the experience to help shape the world we’ll leave behind.

The Third Act Education Fund supports the educational and charitable work of the Third Act movement—organizing older Americans to build a more just, stable, and democratic world for future generations.

We engage the public through nonpartisan educational programming, public awareness campaigns, and resources that promote civic participation and climate responsibility. From webinars and toolkits to intergenerational storytelling projects, our efforts aim to inform, inspire, and empower individuals to take meaningful, values-driven action.

The Education Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and donations are tax-deductible.

We know Elders are powerful catalysts for change. In 2025, Third Act Education Fund is working to re-ignite hope in climate solutions and bring more Americans into our campaigns to ensure everyone can have access to clean power. This includes:

  • Crucial work to organize and educate our supporters into effective, joyous Working Groups—Third Act communities across the country that receive training, tools and support in taking meaningful collective action in their towns, cities, and states.
  • A nationwide campaign to influence local Public Utility Commissions to strengthen clean energy policies and remove local regulatory barriers slowing down a just transition.

Organizing the first SunDay on September 21, 2025—a national day of distributed action where we’ll educate our communities and neighbors about solar power, and celebrate the power of the sun to transition us off fossil fuels.
